The Hybrid Working Model In Office Design Of Unilever Homebase

ADP shared Unilever Vietnam's values, which resulted in a stunning office space that aligns with the company's brand identity, encourages employee well-being, and contributes to a better world.

The office design has been tailored to accommodate a hybrid working model that fosters flexibility. The emphasis is on team organization rather than individual employees, with a range of work settings available. These include unassigned desks with lockers, private rooms that can be easily converted into open workspaces, and brand hubs that showcase different facets of Unilever's brand identity. These work settings encourage employee interaction and engagement, and support a variety of team activities. 

 With the Hybrid model, the Unilever office has optimized its use of space, achieving a density of 9m2/person and meeting the 12 m2/workplace standards for Unilever APAC's headquarters. This also means that the office can accommodate 800-1000 employees comfortably.

The "Funky Town" office design draws inspiration from Unilever's brand identity and spirit, creating a playful and colorful atmosphere that encourages creativity and engagement among employees. The brand hubs promote a sense of pride and identity, while the coffee station operated by the Passion Coffee brand provides comfortable and enjoyable facilities. 

ADP aims to create a workspace that connects the company and its employees, and to that end, has worked with Unilever's brand teams to tell the stories of each brand through the design of the brand hubs. These open discussion areas are designed to reflect the context, color, and image of each brand, inspiring employees to "live" the brand. ADP collaborated with brand management teams to understand their desired messages, creating a workspace that not only showcases the brand but also inspires employees.

Unilever Vietnam's new office achieved LEED certification, recognizing its environmentally responsible, resource-efficient, and sustainable features. Energy-efficient lighting, low-flow water fixtures, and recycled materials are among the sustainable features that align with Unilever Vietnam's commitment to sustainability.

In addition to minimizing its environmental impact, the new office promotes employee well-being and engagement, creating a healthier and more productive work environment. The central hub around the floor maximizes natural light, while the allocation of trees throughout the workspace contributes to a sense of tranquility and connection to nature.

By prioritizing both the environment and employee well-being, Unilever is leading the way towards a brighter and more sustainable future for all.

The renovation process of Unilever Vietnam's office faced several challenges, including a tight schedule, high safety requirements, and the need for smooth operation during the construction phase. However, ADP team delivered a high-quality office space that met the client's expectations while overcoming these challenges.
